About us
A little piece of history...
During community consultations through the Porcupine United Way's community Matters project and general conversations with community leaders in the Timmins and area, we recognized a significant need for assistance in building capacity, volunteer and staff development and management assistance to non-profit organizations.
This prompted a look at the different ways we could help non-profit organizations build capacity and resulted in the Northeastern Ontario Centre for Non-profit Excellence coming to life.
Our mission
Our mission is to help non-profit organizations in the Timmins and area build their capacity, their power and impact to better serve their clients and communities, in turn increasing the quality of life in our community.
Our vision
Our vision is one of helping persons who service non-profit organizations to develop practical skills and knowledge, build productive relationships, and find the information and resources they need to further their own professional development.
